this is a corporate identity relaunch projekt designed by two design students. Al-Khaleil is the arabic name for Hebron (a Palestinian city in constant struggle from the Israeli colonists and military presence) and means "Abraham, the friend".
this project revives the city under its Palestinian name: 'The new Al-Khaleil' and focuses on bringing investors to the city.
the hexegonal raster is based on muslim patterns and refer to panes of glass.
more photos on the designers' sites:
Gat, and
Schneider. there are plenty of other cool projekts by these two.
*as a proponent of eco-friendly design, my only hope is that the business cards use recyclable vellum paper and not plastic.
